Deutschsprachiger M&A Associate
We tech society. We tech for the future.
Vitec Software Group is a leading provider of business-critical software for vertical markets and is listed on Nasdaq Large Cap. We grow through both the development of our business units and through acquisitions, which is an important part of the Group’s success. We are now looking to strengthen our M&A function with another colleague.
Because we acquire companies to keep them within the Group, it’s essential that we share the same fundamental values, business models and strategies. We therefore believe it’s important to spend time meeting the people behind the companies before making any acquisition decisions. If you agree with that approach, this might be the right role for you.
Our well-considered and long-term acquisitions make it possible for small and medium-sized software companies to continue developing. With great respect for each company’s unique industry knowledge and need for independence, we provide long-term stability, shared expertise, experience and common resources.
What we offer
As an M&A Associate, you will step into a central role and contribute directly to Vitec’s future growth. You will have a varied working day, taking part in every stage of the acquisition process – from identifying potential targets, analysis and negotiations, to due diligence, completion and handover to the operational business.
You will work across a broad network of contacts and gain insight into many parts of the European business community. Your main focus will be the DACH region – Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
As you join our team, which currently consists of three people, you’ll receive a thorough introduction. We then work together to help you grow into your role. You’ll encounter both similar and different ways of thinking, giving you opportunities to develop in new and interesting ways. If you’re looking for the freedom and responsibility that come with being a key part of a central function in our Group, we think you’ll enjoy working with us.
Who you are
To succeed in the role, you have a relevant academic degree – for example, in engineering or business – combined with 2–4 years’ experience of business operations, business models and/or transactions from different companies or industries. Perhaps your background is from one of the leading consultancy firms? Experience from software companies is an advantage.
Regardless of your background, you have taken part in complex business negotiations. Experience in reading, understanding and drafting contractual terms is a plus. You enjoy being hands-on, but can also coordinate and manage external teams when required.
We are looking for someone who:
- has a genuine interest in business and transactions.
- shows high integrity and easily builds trust.
- can represent Vitec in a way that strengthens an acquisition candidate’s interest in the deal.
- is used to analysing and interpreting financial information.
You speak and write German and English fluently, and preferably have a good understanding of Swedish or another Nordic language. Additional language skills are an advantage.
As an M&A Associate, you’ll need both drive and patience, as well as the ability to communicate with attentiveness and clarity. We value a focus on quality, respect and humility – qualities that are important both within Vitec and in our cooperation with other companies. If this sounds like you, we think you’ll feel at home with us.
Since we operate in many locations across Europe, we see Stockholm as the most practical base for the position. The role includes travels.
Interested?
We look forward to receiving your application, where you describe how your previous experience makes you a good fit for the role.
The last day of application is November 10, 2025.
